Kyiv suspends anti-terror operation in Eastern Ukraine

The Ukrainian authorities have made a decision to unilaterally stop fire in Eastern Ukraine, the country's President Petro Poroshenko announced on Wednesday.

According to the president, he has drafted a peace plan, which is now set to be backed by all parties involved in the conflict.

"The peace plan begins with my decision to order an immediate ceasefire. We are now waiting for the support of all the parties involved in the conflict in the Donetsk Region," President Poroshenko said.

According to him, the ceasefire will not last for long, but the rebels will have enough time to surrender, if they are willing to do so
