Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has proposed Pavlo Klimkin's candidacy for the post of the country's foreign minister to lawmakers, the press service of the Ukrainian Parliament is quoted as saying.
Klimkin is now serving as Ukraine's ambassador to Germany.
Thus the president has decided to replace Acting Foreign Minister Andriy Deshchitsa, who recently insulted Russian President Vladimir Putin, causing an immediate protest from Russia.
