Georgia considers increasing electricity imports from Russia

The Minister of Energy of Georgia, Kakha Kaladze, met the chairman of the executive board of the FSK UEN Company, Andrey Murov. They discussed the possibility of construction of an interstate electricity power network and infrastructure for increasing electricity power imports from Russia and its further transit to third countries.


The FSK and the Georgian side agreed to conduct a survey on possible construction and economic benefits of the Mozdok-Ksani overhead 500 kW line project through the Darial Gorge in the long-term.
