According to Pandzhikidze there are three conditions for restorating relations with Russia

 

Georgian Foreign Minister Maya Pandzhikidze has named three conditions which have to be fulfilled before restoration of diplomatic relations with Russia."They are the de-occupation of the country, a retraction of the recognition of independence (of Abkhazia and South Ossetia) and implementation of the Ceasefire Agreement of August 12, 2008," RIA Novosti quotes Pandzhikidze.Georgia broke off diplomatic relations with Russia in response to the recognition by Moscow of the independence of Abkhazia and South Ossetia in August 2008 after the armed aggression of Tbilisi against Tskhinvali. Abkhazia and South Ossetia have the status of occupied territories Georgia.One of the main priorities of the foreign policy of the representatives of the new government of Georgia who came to the power following the results of parliamentary elections on October 1st 2012, was announced as the normalization of relations with the Russian Federation.
