Iran is interested in buying Azerbaijani natural gas, Iran's Deputy Minister of Industry Mujtaba Khosrovtaj told the president of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan, Rovnag Abdullayev.
The two officials met today in the Azerbaijani capital of Baku.
According to the Iranian deputy minister, the Islamic Republic is also considering storing its own gas in Azerbaijani underground depositoriums.
Iran and Azerbaijan have already negotiated possible gas deliveries, but the talks have been fruitless.
