Speaker of Ukrainian parliament criticizes intelligence for misinforming government

Speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament Alexander Turchynov has criticized the country's intelligence services for misinforming the government about alleged plans by Russia to invade the country, UNIAN reports.

According to Turchynov, the intelligence services were saying 10 times a month that Russia was planning to attack at 3 or 4am. He noted that the invasion had never happened because Moscow expected the government to make a mistake.

The speaker admitted that the Ukrainian army could do nothing to prevent the takeover of Crimea.
