The foreign ministers of Jordan, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates assured U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry in Paris on Thursday that they will support the new government of Iraq formed by Shiites, Sunnis and Kurds, ITAR-TASS reports.
The ministers expressed concerns about the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant operating in Iraq and Syria. Kerry and his counterparts agreed that the organization was a threat to the whole region. They discussed opportunities to support the moderate opposition fighting Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
