Turkish President Abdullah Gul will not campaign for re-election in August. His term of office expires on August 28. In his words, the issue was discussed with Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan before the March 30 municipal elections, Trend reports.
Gul announced plans to resign in April.
