Armenia is willing to continue negotiations on Turkish-Armenian relations

Turkey is willing to continue the process of normalising relations
with Armenia, announced Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandyan,
reports Novosti-Armenia.

"The Turkish Prime Minister's special envoy, Deputy Head of Turkish
Ministry for Foreign Affairs, Firutdin Sinirlioglu, assured me that
"Turkey is willing to continue the normalization process in
Turkish-Armenian relations". He also conveyed a proposal from Turkish
Prime Minister Erdogan to hold a meeting with the Armenian president
in Washington," - said Nalbandyan during his speech in the Parliament.

According to the Head of the Armenian Ministry for Foreign Affairs,
the Armenian authorities confirmed their willingness to continue
normalization of interstate relations in accordance with the
expectations of the international community.

The Armenian Foreign Minister announced that Sinioglu had come to
Yerevan as special envoy of Turkish Prime Minister and had already met
with the Armenian President and Foreign Minister.

Nevertheless, Nalbandyan called on society not to place faith in some
of the information in the Turkish press about Turkish-Armenian
relations.
