Armenian Energy Minister Erwand Zakharyan said that reconstruction of the Armenian nuclear power plant will start in 2017 to extend its life expectancy until 2026. The decision to reconstruct the facility was made on September 13, 2013. Russian President Vladimir Putin said after talks with his Armenian counterpart Serzh Sargsyan that Rosatom specialists would provide technical assistance for the project.
