Journalist Zviad Koridze has been promoted by Georgian President Georgy Margvelashvili as the head of the State Amnesty Commission. Koridze’s predecessor Alexander Elisashvili is campaigning for membership in the Tbilisi municipal council, Georgia Online reports.Koridze said that the commission will resume work this summer. He promised to consider all amnesty requests from convicts and their families that have been accumulated in the last two months.
