South Ossetian President Leonid Tibilov said that the crisis in Ukraine could not be resolved by military actions and called the attempts by Kiev to restore order in the eastern part of the country “a flagitious mistake,” RIA Novosti reports.
Tibilov, being a leader of a breakaway republic, noted that the “people’s republics” of Donetsk and Luhansk were developing their statehood fast and had economic potential. The South Ossetian president called the struggle for territorial integrity in Ukraine unjustified. He predicts that the Ukrainian military will give up soon.
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, according to Tibilov, should freeze the conflict before the militia enter other regions of Ukraine.
