A car belonging to a policeman of the settlement of Old Miatli in the
Kizilyurt region of Dagestan exploded, the policeman was injured and
hospitalized, RIA Novosti reports, citing the press-service of the
Ministry of Interior Affairs of Dagestan.
An unknown explosive device was planted beneath his vehicle.
Here have been approximately 500 terrorist crimes registered since the
beginning of this year, they include 284 gunfire attacks and 214
bombings, the Russian Minister of Interior Affairs Rashid Nurgaliyev
said. There have also been 58 shoot-outs. The ministry noted that the
situation is worsening.
Nurgaliyev said that the terrorists are effectively using weaknesses
in the economy, blunders and mistakes by the local executive
authorities and unemployment.
Nurgaliyev said that they need single legal space in the North
Caucasian Federal District.
