ISIS captures warehouses of toxic chemicals

 

Militants of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIS) captured a warehouse with about 2,500 chemical missile engines and toxic chemicals on June 11. Iraqi Ambassador to the UN Mohamed Ali Alhakim sent a letter to UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and informed about the act, RIA Novosti reports.Materials stored at the facility in the Muthanna Province cannot be used to make chemical weapons. They were produced for the Iranian-Iraqi war of 1980-1988. U.S. media say that the facility was producing mustard gas and VX gas.
