British Minister of State for Energy Michael Fallon said that development of relations with Azerbaijan was a priority for the UK, RIA Novosti reports.Fallon noted that Azerbaijan could play the leading role in energy security of the region and Europe. The crises in Ukraine and Iraq actualized the problem of energy diversification and searches for alternate suppliers. Development of Shah Deniz and realization of the Southern Gas Corridor will continue, as he said.The minister concluded that the 20th anniversary of signing of the Contract of the Century will be marked in September.
