The Israeli military have evacuated some 800 foreign citizens from the Gaza Strip, Coordinator of Israeli Government Activities in the Territories, Major General Yoav Mordechai is quoted as saying by Interfax.
Among the foreigners were citizens of the US, Romania, Sweden, Norway, the UK, Turkey and Australia, the news agency informs.
