Former Georgian president Eduard Shevarnadze was buried in Tbilisi today. The funeral was organized by the Georgian government, which also paid for the ceremony.
The service was held in the Holy Trinity Cathedral.
The funeral was attended by Georgian President Georgy Margelashvili, Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, former US Secretary of State James Baker and former German foreign minister Hans-Dietrich Genscher.
