Georgian ex-President Saakashvili’s personnel summoned for questioning

 

A house worker of Georgian ex-President Mikheil Saakashvili and his wife Sandra Rulovs, Rulovs’ Security Chief Valery Kiladze and assistant Gavaz Kolveiani were summoned to the Prosecutor General’s Office for questioning, as reported today.Prosecutors will question Head of Georgian State Security Temur Janashia, Rustavi-2 Security Chief Ramaz Lapachishvili, Saakashvili’s friend Gavaz Koloyan. Lapachishvili said he was summoned to see prosecutor Aleko Jibladze.Georgian prosecutors wanted to question Saakashvili over 10 cases in late March. He is suspected of being involved in the murder of Prime Minister Zurab Zhvania in 2005, pardoning people sentenced over the murder of Sandro Girgvliani, an employee of the United Bank of Georgia, in 2006, and organizing a special operation to suppress a rebellion of a military battalion in Mukhrovani in 2009.
