Irakly Cheishvili, being first on the Georgian Dream electoral list, has been elected as the head of the Batumi Municipal Assembly. He was given 21 out of 25 votes for, one against, Georgia Online reports.Cheishvili headed the Adjara government’s administration after the 2012 elections. He has already been the spokesman of Adjara ex-Prime Minister Levan Varshalomidze.
