Kazakhstan to adopt visa-free regime for 10 countries

Kazakhstan will adopt a visa-free regime for the U.S., Netherlands, UK, France, Germany, Italy, Malaysia, UAE, South Korea and Japan on July 15, 2015, Interfax reports.

Citizens with diplomatic, service and national passports of the said countries will be allowed to stay in Kazakhstan without visas for 15 days per visit. Should the visa-free regime be fruitful, Kazakhstan will extend it. The initiative should boost business and tourism.

Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev announced the lifting of visas for the most investment-active countries at the 27th plenary session of the Council of Foreign Investors in Borovoye (Akmola Region).
