The Russian Ministry for Regional Relations will form a federal monitoring system for interethnic relations within the framework of the 2014-2020 program for consolidation of the Russian nation and ethnic and cultural developments of Russian peoples. The program has a budget of 6.8 billion rubles.7-10 pilot projects will be initiated in regions this year.The system will find and prevent conflict situations, make forecasts for conflicts, said Alexander Zhuravsky, the head of the department for state policy in interethnic relations, the supervisor of the project.
