Russia will demand that Poland extradite Ahmed Zakayev if he arrives
at the 'Universal Chechen Congress', organized by the breakaway
Ichkerian Republic. The congress is planned for September 16-18 in
Warsaw. Organizers of the congress said that Zakayev was planning to
attend.
Russian Ambassador to Poland Alexander Alexeyev criticized the
congress, ITAR-TASS reports. He said that they have information about
Zakayev's involvement in terrorism. The ambassador added that Russia
will demand the extradition of any person on the Russian wanted list.
