Kyrgyz President Bakiev, in whose state riots have been continuing since Monday, is making the same mistakes as his predecessor, Askar Aliev, announced Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, reports RIA Novosti.
"When president Bakiev came to power, he severely criticized former president Akaev for nepotism, for the situation in which Kyrgyz economy was occupied by Akaev's relatives. I have the feeling, that
Mr. Bakiev has fallen into the same trap", said the Russian Prime Minister.
He pointed also pointed out that "Russian officials are not involved in the events taking place in Kyrgystan".
"I personally was surprised by the news from Kyrgystan", added Putin.
The number of people killed in the Bishkek clashes has increased to at least 40, while 400 are reported injured.
