Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin has replaced Moscow Metro Head Ivan Besedin with Dmitry Pegov. In his words, the subway has underwent major modernization of trains, salaries of its staff were raised, the number of technical problems dropped in the last years, ITAR-TASS reports.Sobyanin explained that Besedin was dismissed because of the tragedy on the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya subway line on July 15.Pegov had been working at the Russian Railways until July 22. He had been heading the rapid transit directorate since February 2010.Besedin became the head of Moscow Metro on February 7, 2011, replacing Dmitry Gayev.
