Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili has appointed five new members of the cabinet, Azerbaijani news agency Trend reports on Tuesday.

The former governor of Kvemo Kartli, Georgy Mgebrishvili, is going to head the country's penitentiary system. Otar Danelia is set to serve as the new minister of agriculture, Georgy Shavliashvili as the minister of infrastructure and regional development. Gela Dumbadze is going to head the ministry of the diaspora.

The name of the new minister of culture is expected to be announced tomorrow.
