The Basmanny Court of Moscow will consider arresting Alexey Trofimov, deputy head of the distance capital reconstruction of tracks of the Moscow Metro, the fourth suspect of the train accident between the Park Pobedy and the Slavyansky Bulvar stations (24 passengers dead, over 150 injured), ITAR-TASS reports.
Valery Bashkatov, a supervisor of railway tracks, Yuri Gordov, his assistant, and Anatoly Kruglov, the director for production of Spetstekhrekonstruktsiya, have been arrested until September 15. They deny responsibility for the accident.
Trofimov is accused of failing to monitor construction of the rail switch, according to spokesman of the Russian Investigative Committee Vladimir Markin.
