The president of Azerbaijan, Ilkham Aliyev, has held bilateral meetings at the Xth Summit of Turkic countries in Turkey. At the moment he is meeting with the president of Turkey, Abdullah Gul, to discuss questions of bilateral relations in various spheres.
The Azerbaijani president and the Turkish prime minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan also signed an agreement on foundation of a Supreme Council for Strategic Cooperation between the two countries.
