Russia may ban McDonald’s burgers

 

The Russian Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing (Rospotrebnadzor) plans to ban cheeseburgers, royal cheeseburgers, filet-o-fish, chickenburgers, ice cream with berry filling and milk cocktails, RIA Novosti reports.Officials of Rospotrebnadzor have suddenly come to a conclusion that the products violate fat, protein, carbon and energy norms and that their content does not meet with information for clients.The initiative came from the Novgorod Oblast where two McDonald’s restaurants were reported violating the norms in May 2014. Preliminary hearings will take place in August.
