The Dagestani Republic is marking the 20th anniversary of the adoption of its constitution on Saturday. Dagestani leader Ramazan Abdulatipov congratulated the Dagestani people on Constitution Day.
"I warmly congratulate the Dagestani people on one of our most important holidays - Constitution Day. 20 years ago our republic adopted a new constitution. It was a crucial point in Dagestani history and the history of the whole country," the congratulatory message reads.
According to Abdulatipov, the adoption of the constitution secured the democratic and secular development of Dagestani society.
