New cabinet formed in Georgia

A new government has been formed in Georgia. The new cabinet was approved today during a special meeting of the Georgian Parliament held in Kutaisi. The decision was made unanimously. All 89 MPs voted in favour.

 

Gela Dumbadze was appointed as the new minister of the diaspora, David Shavliashvili as the new minister of regional development, Otar Daneliya as the minister of agriculture, Georgy Mgebrishvili as the minister of the penitentiary system, Sozar Subari as the minister of refugees, Elgudzha Khokhriashvili as the minister of environment, Mikheil Georgadze as the minister of culture.

 

The changes in the cabinet were first announced by Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili on July 21st.
