U.S. senators express regret over persecution of Georgia’s Saakashvili

U.S. senators John McCain, Ben Cardin, Jean Shaheen and Jim Risch expressed regret over initiation of a criminal case against ex-President Mikheil Saakashvili in Georgia. They said that Saakashvili had flaws in his policy but persecuting him should not be a weapon of political vengeance, Trend reports.
