EU imposes additional sanctions on Russia

The European Union has reportedly imposed additional sanctions on Russia. According to Agence France Presse, at today's meeting of the permanent envoys of the EU member states the parties agreed to impose sanctions on four businessmen close to President Vladimir Putin and four conpanies.

These people and enterprises are believed to have benefited from the annexation of Crimea and the ongoing military conflict in Eastern Ukraine, the EU authorities believe.
