Spokesman of the Russian Foreign Ministry Alexander Lukashevich, commenting on U.S. President Barack Obama’s accusations that Russia was refusing to cooperate in the Malaysian Boeing crash, said that Russia was the first to present data related to the accident, ITAR-TASS reports.
He clarified that it cannot cooperate directly, according to ICAO rules, because the accident did not happen on its territory. The Netherlands needs to give Russia permission to assist.
