Israel is mobilizing an additional 16,000 reservists, making a total of 86,000 for the operation in the Gaza Strip, RIA Novosti reports.
The new mobilized troops will give other soldiers time to rest.
The government allowed the military to mobilize 70,000 reservists, about 50,000 of whom have already been used.
