The Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs has commented on the
upcoming meetings of the Azerbaijani and Armenian ministers of foreign
affairs in Washington and New York with US officials and co-chairs of
OSCE MG, 1news.az reports. Official spokesman of Azerbaijani Ministry
of Foreign Affairs Elkhan Polukhov said that the meetings express the
interest of Azerbaijan in a fast settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh
conflict.
Polukhov said that the pace of the peace process will depend on the
Armenian position. The constructive position of Armenia at the US
summits and the coming OSCE summit in Astana will determine the dates
of the peaceful settlement of the conflict.
Polukhov added that arrival of a committee headed by the co-chairs of
the OSCE MG to occupied Azerbaijani territories will contribute to
resolving the conflict, by collecting and analysing all the facts.
The committee, heads and experts of almost all structures and agencies
of OSCE will analyse the facts and the occupation of Azerbaijani
lands. The committee will consist of high-ranking experts and
consultants, including specialists from UNHCR and other UN structures.
