Russian authorities claim nine Ukrainian shells have hit Rostov Region

The official representative of Russia's Federal Security Service for the Rostov Region, Vasily Malayev, says nine Ukrainian shells have hit the territory of the region.

According to the official, nine shells have been fired from Ukraine’s Grad multiple rocket launchers and exploded on the territory of Tarasovsky District.

"Nine explosions caused by shells have been registered in 1 km from the Mityakinskaya settlement. The shells have probably been fired from a Grad complex," the official is quoted as saying.

The incident resulted in no casualties, the official says.

Russia condemns the attacks, saying that such provocations may have irreversible consequences.
