Iran is planning to send humanitarian aid to Gaza via the territory of Egypt, IRNA cites Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian as saying. The official says he has already discussed the initiative with his Egyptian counterpart.
Israel started a military operation in Gaza on July 8, 2014 in response to continuing missile attacks launched by Hamas.
