International community should reconsider its position on Karabakh, OSCE envoy says

The special representative for the South Caucasus of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, Joao Soares, says the international community should reconsider its position on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

According to the official, the recent deaths of Azerbaijani and Armenian servicemen have proved that the status quo is unacceptable.

"The worsening situation and the current escalation of the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh have shown that the world cannot tolerate the conflict, which has been frozen for 20 years," he said.
