Russia is ready to provide the USA with military transport aviation,
in particular Mi-17s, RIA Novosti reports, citing Russian Defense
Minister Anatoliy Serdyukov, who is on a visit to the USA.
The minister did not exclude that Russia could provide military
transport aircraft for other countries as well, for example, the
French.
Serdyukov had talks with US Secretary of Defense Robert Gates.
Moreover, Russia can share its experience of Afghanistan with the US.
Serdyukov said that they also discussed the situation in Kyrgyzstan.
The US requested assistance in maintaining the US air base in
Kyrgyzstan.
