Turkish ruling party wants Davutoglu to become prime minister

According to polls organized for heads of regional offices of the ruling Justice and Development Party of Turkey, Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu is the preferred candidate to replace Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The latter will say the final word on the appointment of a new leader of the party, 1news.az reports.

Erdogan may do so on August 21, at the end of the session of the party and before the assembly.
