The Czech Agency of Development will present the Ahmet district in the
Kakhetin region of eastern Georgia with 62 free solar cells in late
September. The press-service of the Kakhetin region said that an
agreement has already been signed, Business Georgia reports.
The solar cells will be used in mountainous settlement of Tusheti to
provide the local population and hotels with energy. The total cost of
the project is $135,000. The cells will be installed before winter.
The head of Ahmet municipality Koba Maysuradze said that, in addition
to providing power for the local population, the energy will help
increase the tourist level.
