The police of Kabardino-Balkaria have identified that the explosion at
the Eternal Flame of Honour Memorial in Nalchik was caused by a
radio-controlled explosive device equivalent to 1-1.5 kg of TNT,
ITAR-TASS reports, citing the Unified Information Center of the
Kabardino-Balkarian police.
The explosion happened at approximately 01.00 in the city park. The
bronze star of the memorial was blown aside. The granite pedestal was
moved but not destroyed.
The administration of Nalchik said that they will repair the memorial
in 2 weeks and install cameras in the park.
