Russia, Ukraine, Germany and France to discuss Ukrainian crisis in Berlin

The foreign ministers of Russia, Ukraine, Germany and France are going to discuss the ongoing Ukrainian crisis in Berlin.

The parties are expected to adopt a road map for a successful resolution of the conflict, German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier is quoted as saying.

"We have to agree a road map and secure effective work of border guards in order to approach a peaceful resolution of the conflict and establish a national dialogue within Ukraine," the German official said.

Steinmeier agreed that this process would not be easy. "That is why we all have to start talks," he added.

The German minister also underlined that, despite the ongoing humanitarian crisis in the eastern part of the country, the parties should do their best to continue political efforts to resolve the conflict.
