Impeached Iranian science minister becomes presidential advisor

 

Reza Farajidana, the ex-Minister for Science, Research and Technology impeached by the parliament (145 votes for, 110 against, 15 abstained) yesterday, has become President Hassan Rouhani’s advisor for science and education, Trend reports.He was heading the ministry for 9 months and became the first impeached minister of Rouhani. The impeachment was initiated for Farajidana’s politicizing the academic sector and appointing some politicians as his advisors.
