The United Russia Party will propose Yuri Kokov, the acting head of Kabardino-Balkaria, Irina Maryash, vice prime minister of the region, and Anuar Chechenov, the speaker of parliament of the republic, as candidates to head Kabardino-Balkaria, ITAR-TASS reports.
Sergey Aksenov, the acting head of Crimea, was proposed as the candidate to become the incumbent head of the peninsula. Victor Oganesyan, the head of the ministry of education and science directorate of Sevastopol, Boris Kolesnikov, the head of the regional executive committee of the party, and Sergey Menyaylo, the acting governor of Sevastopol, were proposed as candidates to head the region.
The heads of three Russian regions will be elected by parliaments on October 9.
