The presidential elections held in the breakaway republic of Abkhazia are illegitimate, the Georgian ministry of foreign affairs says in a statement, Interfax reports. These elections violate international laws and the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia, the statement reads.
The ministry also calls upon the international community to condemn these polls, Interfax reports.
