Donetsk Prime Minister Alexander Zakharchenko admitted that there were about 3,000-4,000 Russian soldiers fighting in the ranks of the separatists. He said that the “Donetsk Republic” had never denied Russian assistance, without whom the resistance would have been in a grave situation.
Zakharchenko said that many Russian troops were former servicemen.
