U.S. and Iran to meet in Geneva today

U.S. Deputy Secretary of State William Burns, Under Secretary of State Wendy Sherman and National Security Advisor Jacob Sullivan to Vice President Joe Biden will have a meeting with an Iranian delegation in Geneva on September 4-5 in the context of EU Chief Diplomat Catherine Ashton’s bilateral consultations on the Iranian nuclear program with the Group of Six, according to spokeswoman of the State Department Marie Harf, RIA Novosti reports.Earlier reports said that the negotiations were planned to renew in New York on September 18.The U.S. blacklisted 25 individuals and organizations and six banks suspected of assisting in realization of the Iranian nuclear program. Iran threatened to pass sanctions against the U.S.
