Fears of Russia in Baltic countries are exaggerated, German expert believes  The former head of the Peace Research Institute SIPRI, Walter Shtutzle believes that NATO is losing its political content. "A clear and absolute de-politicization of the North Atlantic Alliance (NATO) worries me, as well as focusing only on military details, as we have observed at the summit in Wales," Shtutzle told DFL. The German expert expressed his disappointment at the fact that the Baltic countries and Poland are not using the historic opportunity to establish a dialogue with Moscow, even though there are all prerequisites. In fact, today these countries are fully protected by military guarantees from the United States and Germany, and can afford to open a new chapter in relations with Russia, opting for the policy of reducing tensions.
