Kazakhstan and Tajikistan discuss cooperation

The President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev and the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rakhmon met to discuss friendly relations and many-sided cooperation between the countries.


“We are sure that many-sided relations between Tajikistan and Kazakhstan will remain the best example of improvement and development of regional cooperation and will contribute to mutual interests of our nations,” Rakhmon said.

Nazarbayev stated that Kazakhstan is the second trade partner of Tajikistan in the CIS after Russia. The sides noted necessity of intensification of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Cooperation and Improvement of Working Conditions of the Direct Investment Fund of Tajikistan and Kazakhstan.
